Your Garden

We know lots of our tenants are very proud of their gardens. If you have exclusive use of a garden attached to your home, it is part of your tenancy agreement that you will take care of it. This means you will keep it reasonably tidy; you will not let it become overgrown, and you will ensure it does not cause a nuisance to any of your neighbours. We carry out garden inspections every year, and if you do not take reasonable steps to keep your garden under control, we will cut it back and recharge you.

If you have a health condition or mobility issue that means you cannot carry out work in your garden, please contact your housing officer.
