Sharing Your Tenancy

As a Prospect tenant, you have the right to add someone to your tenancy, transfer your tenancy, or pass your tenancy to someone who lives with you if you die. You need to ask permission from us to do this. For adding someone to the tenancy or assignation, you must have told us that they have lived in your home for at least 12 months. For succession, you need to have told us that any person who is not your lawful spouse or civil partner has lived in your home for at least 6 months before you die. The information must be sent in writing via an email, letter or text immediately they move in. If we do not have that information recorded from you, the tenancy cannot be changed. So it is important that you keep your household details up to date and inform us of any changes. You may wish to sublet all or part of your home. You need to apply for our consent to do this, and to have been the tenant for at least 12 months.
