Reporting Damp and Mould
You can report damp and mould in person at our office, by phone, email, in writing, or via SMS. If possible, please include photos to help us assess the severity before arranging an inspection and to better understand the issue.
How we will deal with Damp and Mould
Where possible, the property services team will arrange an inspection within 5 working days for routine cases and within 24 hours for severe cases (e.g., affecting health or structural integrity).
Prospect staff will carry out a property inspection to diagnose the root cause of the damp and mould correctly and deliver effective solutions and wherever possible, fixing first time. We will look to take photographic evidence of the initial inspection for our records.
We will inform you of the inspection outcome in the the form of a written report, including any remedial works, actions or improvements and the estimated timescales to complete the works/measures; keeping you updated throughout the process.
There may be nothing we can do but our maintenance staff will give you appropriate advice on condensation and how this can be managed with hints and tips.
Remedial Actions
We carry out a post-inspection within three months of completing any damp or mould remedial works. This follow-up visit ensures that the repairs or treatments have been effective and that there are no further signs of the issue. If any concerns are identified during the inspection, we will continue to assess the situation and explore appropriate additional solutions.
