    Committee Member

    I am a Prospect Tenant, and I was part of the Tenants Forum before deciding to join the Management Committee.  I enjoy being able to contribute to our community and be involved in the decision making for Prospect and our tenants.

  • Naomi MacKenzie

    Chairperson

    I wanted to be able to voice my opinions and influence decisions. I’ve lived in Wester Hailes for 40 years, and a Prospect tenant for 25 years. It’s an honour to take on the role of Chairperson. I will strive to always do what is best for Prospect and our tenants. Joined August 2010. Elected as Chairperson September 2022.

    Vice Chairperson

    Being a Committee member gives me the chance to help secure the future of Wester Hailes. I am a Prospect tenant from Clovenstone and I wouldn’t live anywhere else. I consider myself to be a community activist and I take a keen interest in the surrounding area. I was secretary for a few years, and I’m looking forward to my new role as Vice Chair. Joined September 2004  Elected Vice Chairperson September 2022

    Treasurer

    I'm a Lecturer in Social Policy at the University of Stirling. Throughout my research career I have developed partnerships with organisations in Wester Hailes.  My involvement in Prospect means a lot to me in terms of giving something back to, and being engaged with, such a fantastic community.  Just like our tenants, Prospect faces really difficult financial circumstances and choices right now. As Treasurer,  I'm looking forward to helping the Management Committee and Management Team to make those decisions. Joined November 2008. Elected Treasurer September 2022.

    Secretary

    I am delighted to be able to make a contribution to Prospect’s work in the community. I worked for SCOREscotland and now AVEVA. I am so delighted to be a member of Prospect and now Secretary, it gives me so much pleasure that even though I am no longer working in the community, I am still connected and contributing. Joined November 2019. Elected Secretary September 2022.

    I'm excited to give back to the community in which I grew up. With my experience in planning development and housing, I can help both Prospect as an organisation, but also the wonderful community. 

  • Amanda Miller

    I lived in the Calders as a child and attended Sighthill Primary School and then the Wester Hailes Education Centre.  I have always promoted my experiences of living in the Wester Hailes area and it would be great to bring the experience I have gained back into the community, through Prospect.  I now have over 30 years’ experience working within social housing and I bring a range of knowledge to Prospect to support the strong governance and strategic development of the Association.  Joined December 2019

    I studied at Heriot-Watt University whist living and working in Wester Hailes in the early 90’s.  I still have a social association and connection with the community and regularly visit the area.  Over the past 25 years I have worked in the housing sector and I hope to use my expertise and knowledge to the benefit of Prospect.  Joined December 2019

    I am excited to be a part of Prospect's work, using my background in journalism and advertising and experience of working in the Third Sector to benefit Prospect and local people.  Joined September 2015. 

  • Alan Gee

    Committee Member

    As someone who lives in a Prospect house, Alan wants the opportunity to make sure the needs of the tenants are taken into account. By being on the Management Committee he is able to make a positive impact on the organisation and the services that it provides.  Alan has previously worked in housing, so brings that experience to his role on Prospect’s committee.  Joined September 1998.

    Having lived in Wester Hailes for a number of years. I am very passionate about the Community and the great service that Prospect Housing provide. I had previously been a member of the tenant forum, but  now  moving to the Management committee. I believe my skills and experience will make a difference.  Joined September 2016.

    Brendan Fowler

    Director

    As Director, Brendan supports the Management Committee, leads the Senior Management Team and is responsible for implementing the strategic objectives of Prospect.  Brendan started at Prospect as Housing Manager in June 2004, and became Prospect's Director in March 2014. During his time at Prospect Brendan has been actively involved in a variety of external groups.  He is currently vice-chair of Edinburgh’s Common Housing Register (EdIndex) and previously chaired the East Region Housing Management Forum and the Edinburgh Affordable Housing Partnership.

    Catherine Louch

    Housing Manager

    As the Housing Manager Catherine leads a team delivering tenancy management services to our tenants.  She relishes working together with the tenants, Committee, Management Team and staff to ensure we provide great quality housing and customer services to the communities that Prospect serve.  Catherine started with Prospect in April 2014. Before joining Prospect, Catherine was an Operations Manager with Viewpoint Housing Association, where she worked for 15 years in a variety of roles.

    Colin James

    Finance Manager

    Colin started with Prospect in May 2021 and leads our Finance Team. Colin is a qualified accountant and has many years’ experience in the housing sector, most recently with Caledonia Housing Association.

    Neil Munro

    Property Services Manager

    At Prospect, Neil is responsible for leading the Property Services Department.  Neil started with Prospect in March 2013 and has previously worked for three other Housing Associations, all in property maintenance related roles.  Neil studied Quantity Surveying at Abertay University, Dundee, completed a post graduate Masters course in Facilities Management at Napier University and is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Building.
