Wester Hailes Fun Run 2026

Everyone had a great time at the Wester Hailes Fun Run whether they ran, jogged or walked the route! Whilst the front placings were fiercely contested, the main emphasis was on having fun, with everyone who completed the route receiving a medal. Despite an unpromising weather forecast, the rain held off, and there was even a bit of sunshine! The whole event finished with a delicious community meal organised by The Health Agency at Clovenstone Community Centre.

As a community based housing association, we want to support activities and events that celebrate the local community we are proud to be part of. We are part of the Fun Run Planning Group and we are involved both in the lead up and in providing help on the day. The event is a great example of local partnership working, with a range of organisations working together to make sure that everything goes smoothly. There are also some amazing community volunteers who turn out each year to help on the route and back at the centre. This year the Fun Run was supported by a grant from the City of Edinburgh’s Sports Event Fund.
