Fab Idea!

We’ve had another year of very successful Community Clear Ups with lots of positive feedback from our tenants. Building on what worked well last year we held a clear up session in each of our neighbourhoods, offering access to skips for unwanted items, and help from staff to take items to the skips where needed. At each clear up the skips were filled with unwanted items and rubbish, leaving homes, gardens and stairs cleaner and safer as a result. Lots of our staff came out to help, with staff back at the office providing phone support and cover to enable staff from different departments to participate. We also had some great support from Currie & Brown who helped move an impressive amount of items and rubbish when they volunteered at the Westburn Clear Up. And we even had Prospect committee members lending a hand which was great!

 We also want to give a huge thanks to the tenants who came out to help move items to the skips and to litter pick. Tenant help makes an enormous difference to the success of the clear ups and it’s a great way for staff and tenants to work together.  We also want to thank tenants for all their helpful feedback. Your comments and suggestions really help shape how we manage and deliver the clear ups.
