Summer Activities For Children & Young People

WHALE Arts
WHALE have a packed programme running from 14th July to 16th August with everything from kite making and circus skills to comic club and model making. There are activities for 6-11 year olds and 12-16 year olds. All free, booking essential! You can find all the booking details on their website. Or phone 0131 458 3267 for more information.

SCOREscotland
SCOREscotland has an action packed 4 week summer programme starting on the 14th July that includes water sports, cooking and cycling. There are activities for 7-11 year olds, and 12-17 year olds.  Clovenstone Community Centre
The community centre are holding summer sessions for children currently in P1-P7. £1.00 per session per child. 1st-3rd July, 8th-10th July, 16th-17th July, all from 10AM-12PM. To book a place for your child please phone 0131 453 4561. There is more information on their Facebook page.

 Wester Hailes Library
The Library have launched their Summer Reading Challenge for 4-11 year olds. Read 6 books for your medal and certificate! You can sign up at the Library. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for more summer activity information.

Football For All
Free coaching sessions for children aged 6-9 years old at the High School on Tuesdays during July 3.30PM-5.30PM. The sessions are being offered by AR26 who offer free football sessions and coaching to young people across Scotland. Booking details can be found on their website.

Big Noise Summer Club
Free summer sessions for children going into P3, P4, P5, P6 at Canal View PS, Clovenstone PS and Sighthill PS. 1st-26th July at Sighthill Primary School. Music, games, singing, fun! Meals and snacks provided. For more information check out their Facebook page, for booking they have an online form. 

Holiday Family Activities in Edinburgh
Edinburgh City Council have collected up lots of different activities happening across the city and in the city centre area, and have shared all this on their website. They will add to this throughout the summer so keep an eye out for what's happening in July and August, and across the school holidays.
