Housing Minister Visit

Scottish Housing Minister Paul McLennan paid a visit to Clovenstone Close last week to see the new flats we have there. We were able to purchase these thanks to support from the Scottish Government Acquisition Fund.

During his visit the Minister was able to see inside one of the flats and to meet the new tenant there.  He was able to hear the tenants's story who after over 3 years of homelessness is now able to build a new life for himself and his children, in a fabulous new flat with views to Edinburgh Castle.

 We also talked with the Minister about the housing emergency and the role Prospect plays in reducing and preventing homelessness  As ever, working in partnership is key for us, and we look forward to exploring further opportunities of working with The Scottish Government and The City of Edinburgh Council as well as our ARCHIE partners.
