Sidey Supports Community Fridge

We nominated SCOREscotland’s Community Fridge for a donation from Sidey Solutions Ltd. Sidey have been fitting new windows and doors in some of our Morvenside and Westburn Middlefield homes this year. They generously asked us if there was a local charity they could donate to. We thought of the Community Fridge which is just across the road from where Sidey has been working. Delivered by SCOREscotland, the Community Fridge redistributes surplus food to reduce food waste. We know that lots of our tenants have benefited from this vital food hub, able to take what they need for their household. Sidey donated £300 on behalf of Stuart Holligan, one of their Business Development Managers.

 The 2024-25 programme for replacing windows, doors and patio doors includes149 properties in Morvenside and Westburn Middlefield. The remainder of the properties in Westburn will be completed during 2025-26. Feedback from tenants who have had windows replaced has been very positive on both the installation teams and the new windows. Sidey are replacing the timber windows and doors with new PVC double glazed A-rated windows and patio doors that are some of the most energy efficient available today.
