Electrical Checks Update

It is a legal requirement for Prospect to carry out electrical testing in tenants' homes every 5 years. Testing also keeps everyone's home safe. Electrical testing includes checking the fuse box as well as socket outlets and lighting circuits. As the work is mandatory, we do ask for tenants’ co-operation in giving access.

During 2024-25, we plan to inspect 136 properties. We will send out a letter in the next couple of months so that these tenants can book an appointment with the contractors carrying out the checks. The electricians will also replace any broken or faulty wiring or switches if time allows while at your property to avoid the need for a second appointment.
