Energy Pop Up

We held an Energy Pop Up Event this week to give tenants help and advice on how to stay warm this winter. We used an empty property so that people could see first hand how to best use their boiler, thermostat, timer, and radiators. One of Saltire’s engineers was on hand to give heating demonstrations, and to explain how to adjust the boiler and thermostat for efficient heating. One of our ARCHIE energy advisors also came along to give advice on fuel bills and tips on saving energy. And Prospect’s welfare rights officer was there to give welfare benefits advice, and to arrange follow up appointments. Prospect staff also carried out a survey with everyone who came along to identify what other forms of help would be useful over the winter months. Despite some very wet weather, lots of tenants came along and were able to take some energy saving items away with them from the day. We want to say a big thankyou to Saltire for supporting the day, our tenants really appreciated all the great advice they received!
