Below are some of the questions that we are asked frequently.

Q. Are you the Council?
A. No, we are a Registered Social Landlord based in the Wester Hailes area.


Q. How do I apply for a house?
A. You will need to complete an EdIndex application from which you can get from any Council or Housing Association office. You will then need to bid for properties that have been advertised.


Q. How long will I have to wait?
A. We are unable to give a

timescale of how long
you will have to wait - this depends on when
properties become available and where you are on the waiting list.


 

Q. What is EdIndex?
A. EdIndex is the housing register for people
who wish to rent a property in Edinburgh from
a Housing Association or the Council.


Q. How do I claim housing benefit?
A. You can collect a claim form for Housing Benefit at our office. We can help you complete this if you wish. You will need to provide proof of your and any partner’s identity, income, etc, we can photocopy these for you and send them to the Council.
