Essential Repairs and Gas Servicing
In line with the most recent Scottish Government guidance for areas in Covid-19 Protection Level 4, we are only carrying out emergency and urgent repairs. These are classed as essential work and should be reported in the normal way on 0131 458 5480. Gas servicing checks are also classed as essential work to ensure tenant safety. Our gas servicing is provided through Saltire who have comprehensive measures in place to safeguard the health, safety and wellbeing of their customers and their engineers. Saltire’s Engineers Supervisor Jamie Burns said,
“We have followed the latest government, public health and industry guidance to ensure that essential works can continue by introducing procedures and training for employees, to allow them to work safely in your homes during this time.
It is important that engineers and the public rigorously adhere to social distancing, we will advise you of this during any calls and letters. Our employees will vet each property before entering to ensure you or anyone in your household are not showing symptoms, isolating or shielding and explain what the work entails prior to commencement. All operatives will ensure good hand hygiene practices are followed, wear face coverings and any necessary PPE throughout each visit.”
